We are not talking about women and girls that have been out in the rain – or in the pool, a wet girl is slang for an aroused girl.
Let’s start with guys… everyone knows that when a guy is aroused, he becomes erect. His heart beat increases and he tends to think, well, maybe it is more accurate to say he stops thinking clearly.
Girls are a lot less obvious about being aroused. For us, it is possible to hide most of the signs. Our heartbeat increases as well. The pupils of our eyes tend to dilate. Our nipples tend to become stiff and we become damp down between our legs.
That dampness is our body getting ready to have sex. Girls are normally fairly dry. If we tried to have intercourse like that it would be painful. The wetness our body creates makes it possible for the parts involved in intercourse to glide in and out without any pain.
Girls start getting wet when we hit puberty. Barely any ten year olds get wet regularily but almost all 13 year olds do. If puberty starts later for a girl she will also start getting wet later. Most teens have telltale signs of being wet but as girls get older we get better and better at hiding them so you aren’t able to tell.
There is no conscious control over becoming wet. In the same way a guy can’t fully control when he becomes erect, girls are not able to stop themselves from becoming wet. Seeing a cute guy that we like or reading a romance book can get us wet. There are also other causes of wetness that have nothing to do with being aroused sexually.
If you have never felt yourself wet or you are a guy trying to understand the concept, sometimes its best to imagine the feeling as having leaked a bit of pee. Most girls feel a nervous ache inside and moments later start to feel lubricated. It is usually less than a minute before their panties feel damp against their body.
That wetness makes you feel different as you walk. Until girls get used to the wet feeling they tend to walk with their legs spread a little further apart when damp. Seeing a young teen walking strangely is a common sign she is wet. Its normal to feel that wetness in your underwear for up to an hour after any arousal passes. That’s just a technical fact of how a girl’s underwear slowly dissipates the wetness. The more aroused you were, the longer you feel the wetness after.
Girls normally get damp and wet from emotional situations. Thinking about guys or sexual intercourse will cause wetness. Of course, physical stimulation also causes the same effects. When a guy touches a girl between her legs, she becomes wet immediately.
Many girls feel wetness when not aroused. A one piece swimsuit, leotard or bodysuit will often cause a girl to feel wet. The physical stimulation of the tight garment rubbing between her legs and she walks, runs and swims mimics the feeling of a guy. It is common for girls who are wearing a one piece bathing suit to move rather quickly from the locker room to the pool for fear that the wetness may start to show in the suit.
Most girls also become wet during a physical exam. Females who are having a pelvic exam are well aware that their doctor will be checking internally. Knowing that you will feel exposed and also feel something inside of you will cause wetness. This is perhaps the strangest feeling time to be wet. You often don’t want to think of the exam in a sexual way and yet your body’s response is outside of your control.
