Kenzie asks: I’ve never worn a leotard before but I’ve seen some girls in them. I want to try one but I’m curious how I will look. Is it weird to wear a leotard? What will it be like?
You’re going to look amazing in a leotard! Leotard’s are built to make our bodies look even better than normal. They are snug and they do show us off – but that’s a good thing!
A & B cup girls usually wear a leotard without a bra underneath. Bigger girls do wear a bra. Panties are optional in leotards and most girls don’t wear them.
A leotard is going to feel a lot like a one piece swimsuit. You’ll feel it snug all over and it will tug between your legs when you lift your arms above your head. That tugging is normal and you get used to it after a few times in a leotard. Once you are used to the feeling it is easier to focus on your gymnastics routine.
Expect to get some attention – and you deserve it! Leotards remind everyone how great you look.
