You sure can. In fact, its often one of the most comfortable things to wear once your bump is showing.
I find that when I’m pregnant, a nice one piece suit feels really nice. It stretches to cover my bump and enlarged breasts and still provides support and keeps me feeling covered. I don’t wear it just at the pool, sometimes I find I wear it around home and even sleep in it. I like the snug feeling the spandex provides more than the gross feeling of being free in a big tshirt or such.
Of course, when you are going to the pool or the beach, a suit is a must. Some girls prefer a bikini when pregnant. If you go that route, your existing swimsuit will fit fine. The bottom comes below your belly and the top will hold your breasts. It may be snugger than normal as you grow, but it should still easily cover your nipples.
As you know, when pregnant you are almost always wet down below. A swimsuit will deal with that moisture well. Most suits don’t show a wet spot, so you don’t need to hurry to the pool. You’ll feel wet – but no one else will know. Well, except other women who have been pregnant. That constant wetness is a feeling none of us ever forget.
If your are going to the pool in a one piece, your existing suit should be fine until about six months. After that you may need to upgrade to a larger suit. For the most part, mine fits fine until about 8 months when its just too tight. Snug is good in swimsuits, so its not a problem to let the spandex do its job.
